How should I clean my polarized lenses?
Polarized/mirrored lenses require extra care to ensure optimal performance, especially after contact with saltwater. Rinse your glasses with warm water, then dry them off with a microfiber cloth. Each pair of glasses purchased from IVI comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth, which should be used to remove fingerprints and smears without leaving micro scratches on the lenses.
Avoid using detergents or cleansers with harsh chemicals. A gentle lens cleaning spray specifically used for glasses are sometimes used when necessary.
How do I take care of my sunglasses/eyeglasses?
Avoid leaving your glasses in a hot car. Your vehicle can easily heat up to 180-200°F when parked outdoors on a sunny day, which is way too hot to keep your glasses in good condition. If you need to keep your glasses in the car, remember to keep them in your glove compartment or the center console.
Avoid laying/sleeping with your glasses on. The comfort and performance of your glasses highly depend on the fit. Sleeping or laying down with your glasses on can make them crooked, or even break them.
When not in use, store your frames in a pouch/case. Leaving your glasses unprotected in your purse, on the desk, or just floating around will cause them to be easily scratched and damaged. Every pair of glasses purchased from IVI will come with a designated case to keep them safe.
What are polarized lenses and what do they do?
Sunlight can be temporarily blinding when reflecting off of a smooth surface such as calm water, wet streets, other cars, or even your own dashboard. Polarized lenses cut off the glare by creating a vertical filter for light, blocking out all of the horizontal light bouncing off a smooth surface. They are especially helpful for people who enjoy water activities such as boating. The lenses can drastically cut off the glaze caused by the water and improve your comfort and vision while battling sunlight for long periods of time.

Do these sunglasses offer UV protection?
All IVI sunglasses come with Italian Carl Zeiss lenses featuring 100% UVA and UVB protection.
What should I do if my frames are crooked/uncomfortable?
All IVI frames are easily adjustable, especially when new. To make sure your glasses fit properly, there are some key points to focus on. The first thing is to see if the curves at the temples fit your ears correctly. They should curve slightly behind your ears. If they touch the back of your ears, they are too tight and can cause headaches and discomfort. If they are too flat, they can cause your glasses to slide down constantly. The nose pads should also lay flat against your nose. Each person has a unique curve on the nose bridge, some more defined and some less. The nose pads determine how high or low the glasses sit on your face, so if your eyelashes or cheeks touch the lenses, you might need to adjust the nose pads.
